Allie Michie AMFT

Hi, I’m Allie Michie (she/her/hers), an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in Santa Barbara, CA, and Ventura, CA. I work with individuals, couples, older adults, and teens (13+) navigating anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, and periods of self-discovery.

I have a special interest in perinatal mental health, with a focus on supporting women and families through the emotional, mood, and identity changes that accompany major life transitions, when so much of who we are and how we connect is being redefined. I’m also passionate about working with grief, viewing healing as the process of building a life spacious enough to hold both loss and growth.

My work is grounded in Attachment Theory and integrates Emotionally Focused, Person-Centered, Family Systems, and Cognitive approaches. I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University, which deepened my understanding and commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care. I bring a warm, curious, and collaborative energy to therapy, creating a space where clients can feel truly seen and supported as they explore what healing and growth mean for them. At the heart of my practice is the belief that true healing happens through genuine connection and that everyone has the capacity for meaningful change when met with compassion and understanding.
