Center for Psychotherapy & Integrative Health

We are a clinic based in Santa Barbara, California, with a mission to provide therapy that is clinically effective and depth-oriented. We aim to foster a space that is beautiful, calm, and conducive to overcoming trauma, self-limiting beliefs, and overwhelming emotions.

Our clinicians are dedicated to the science and art of therapy and are both mentally sharp and emotionally present. We believe that a therapist must be willing to “walk the talk” which means that their knowledge of the therapy process is not only intellectual, but also experiential (they have personally found meaning and love in the face of hardship and therefore are more comfortable helping others do the same).

We provide supervision to associates (post-degree but pre-licensed therapists) and provide an environment where clinicians can learn, grow, and maintain their psychological knowledge and skills. Just as every person needs the support of others to thrive, therapists need the support of others to excel at the art of psychotherapy.

We currently accept CenCal insurance. CenCal insurance is the local MediCal provider for those living in Santa Barbara and SLO counties.

For those with other insurance providers we provide superbills which can be submitted to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

CenCal insurance covers 100% of treatment if you are in need of therapy. There are no co-pays with CenCal Insurance.

We offer free 15 minute consultations to support you in being matched with the right modality and therapist. If you are having trouble finding information or making a decision then feel free to reach out and ask us any questions.

Finding the right fit is essential to having good outcomes in therapy. We recommend taking your time to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with and who has relevant training to your need. It is okay and helpful to schedule a consultation call with a few different therapists in order to make an informed decision.

The length of treatment differs from person to person and it is hard to predict how long therapy will last. Typically therapy sessions occur 1-2 times a week. Therapy, however, is not a quick fix and treatment can take 6 months to a few years.  Most people make improvements in their life after a couple months. Modalities like EMDR are typically shorter and range from 6-30 sessions.

We offer telehealth sessions (through a video platform) along with in person sessions. Therapy is effective online  and all our clinicians have experience providing therapy virtually. In person therapy for children is encouraged.

Successful therapy help you reduce mental and emotional suffering, find greater fulfillment in work and relationships, improve communication and increase self-awareness, transition through major life changes, decrease shame and negative thought loops, overcome trauma and negative consequences of hardships.
