Claire Blakey (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Supervisor and Professor in Santa Barbara, CA. Claire has a passion for leadership, public speaking, mentorship, education and community building. Claire has served as the past president of the local association for therapists and recently spoke at the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Leadership Conference. Claire serves on the faculty for Antioch University Santa Barbara and Pepperdine University in their graduate school programs for clinical psychology.
Claire treats perinatal mental health (all things pregnancy + postpartum mental health), anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and life transitions. Claire is trained in perinatal EMDR and often leans towards a person centered, strength based and warm therapeutic approach.
Claire is passionate about supporting parents in pregnancy + postpartum and is Perinatal Mental Health Certified through Postpartum Support International.

Online & In-Person – Individual Therapy
Claire offers both in person and virtual sessions
• Treating individuals, couples (often working with the new parenting dyad or co-parenting separation dyad) + groups
• Providing group therapy for processing grief
• Trained in pregnancy + postpartum EMDR therapy (a trauma modality often used in treating postpartum anxiety, depression and processing a challenging or traumatic birth)
• Pregnancy + postpartum advanced training
• Eating disorder advanced training
Rate
$225/hour
Claire’s fee is $225 a session and she has a limited number of Cencal and sliding scale spots. If interested in working with Claire but looking for a more affordable option, Claire also supervises at the Center and can be a part of the collaborative treatment if paired with an associate under her license.
