Hugh Cook is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with clients navigating substance use and addictive behaviors, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, relationship and attachment concerns, identity development, and men’s issues and masculinity. He welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and identities, offering therapy both in person and via telehealth.

Known for his grounded presence, Hugh offers a space of deep listening, authenticity, and care. He approaches each therapeutic relationship with clinical curiosity and thoughtfulness, crafting tailored case formulations to support meaningful progress. His work balances warmth and structure, guiding clients toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and growth.

Hugh earned his MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. His approach is rooted in depth-oriented traditions—including psychodynamic and Jungian psychology—while integrating evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This blend allows him to meet clients with both insight and practical tools for change.
