Christel Reid AMFT

Chris received her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara where she studied Jungian and Depth Psychotherapy. She also received training in Archetypal/Imaginal Psychology, Geropsychology and long-term care, and Dreamwork.

Chris’ experience working in hospice deepened her appreciation for the function of meaning-making in times of uncertainty and the benefit of exploring existential queries. She is currently pursuing post-graduate training in Applied Mythology and frequently employs mythic framework and sensibilities into sessions with her clients.

Her use of Dream Tending, myth, folklore, symbol, and imagery are reflections of the tools of Depth psychology that facilitate clients reconnecting with the vital force inside them, resulting in a sense of wholeness and clarity. Chris works with adult individuals on issues associated with life transitions.
