Cynthia Fredericksen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working in the mental health field for 15 years and currently in private practice in Santa Barbara California. She has experience working as an Ecotherapist, and CBT-I practitioner from a depth approach. Her goal is to help you reach a balance with life and nature. You may be struggling with Insomnia, depression, anxiety, loss, negative patterns impacting daily life, or the inability to make time out in nature, this is where Cynthia will help you find balance. She hopes to help you find purpose within yourself by seeing symptoms as symbols of deeper meaning. Within a safe therapeutic container of non-judgement, ecotherapy, dream analysis, narrative therapy, creativity, and direction Cynthia will collaboratively increase your awareness of desires, fears, patterns, and strengths.
Cynthia works from a non -judgmental approach to help facilitate you to meet your goals.
Along with being a therapist she is adjunct faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute where she teaches a variety of courses in the Counseling Psychology program.Cynthia has 23 years of experience in Jungian Psychotherapy. She believes the therapeutic process is both creative and individual.
Areas of interest include: The intersection of nature and psychology, Depth Psychology, Dreamwork, Active Imagination, Supervision, Insomnia, and life transitions into adulthood and retirement.
